One day dedicated to writing every other week

From January 2009 onwards, I will dedicate a day every other week to my writing. I will reduce my working hours from 40 to 36 per week, and thus have a day at home every fortnight. On that day I will be with my son, Nathan, but he will be asleep for a large portion of the day, of course, so I hope to have some 2 hours in the morning and 2 to 3 hours in the afternoon to spend on my Senna versus Schumacher story. That way I hope to gather some more speed than I had the last few months.

Rather busy with other stuff…

Sadly, I’ve been rather busy with other stuff, the last few weeks. Basically I’ve been doing everything bar writing. I even went on a short vacation, but don’t worry, it was just Friday through Sunday.

This means, however, that I still haven’t finished the Spanish Grand Prix chapter. However, I have planned to write some more this Sunday, plus early next week, so I might get into the flow and finally finish the chapter. I’ll keep you posted.

Somewhat quiet on the writing front

Sadly it is still somewhat quiet on the writing front. I’ve done a lot of preperation for my first child to be born in the next 3 weeks. And my writing has suffered because of it. But I hope I am forgiven.

I expect to at least start with the next chapter of my Schumacher versus Senna story soon, though. Ideas have started to form, which is good, but I’ll have to trust them to the (virtual) paper eventually.

Little progress during Easter: more to come

Progress on The Encounter Down Under — my Senna versus Schumacher what-if story — has been a little slow during the Easter weekend. I did finish Friday’s practice and qualifying, and I expect to finish Saturday’s sessions as well as the race, next Thursday Saturday.

Not much work these past few days; more coming this weekend

As you might have guessed, there has been little activity this week. I haven’t been feeling very well, yesterday and today, and hence haven’t worked on my Senna versus Schumacher story the past few days.

I have, however, planned a couple of hours’ work for next Saturday, and I would like to finish the third chapter, on the 1994 Brazilian Grand Prix.

In the mean time I did plough through some motor racing and alternate history forums. It seems that there aren’t a lot of stories similar my alternate version of the 1994 Formula One season. I’m planning to post on these forums and stir up some attention for the site and the book.
