Made several corrections in part II-a

I’ve made some (minor) changes to the Monaco and Canadian Grand Prix chapters, today. And I’ve added the updated version of part II-a to the downloads section.

I think I’ll publish what I have for part II early

Although part II of my Senna versus Schumacher story is not yet finished — in fact, I’m only halfway there — I’m thinking about publishing what I have writting up to now. So that’s the Monaco Grand Prix, in which Ayrton Senna returns to his Williams-Renault car after his accident, to take on Michael Schumacher, plus the Spanish Grand Prix that followed, in which the German, in real life, suffered reliability problems for the first time in the 1994 Formula One season.

Started research on Spanish GP

Last weekend I started research on the 1994 Spanish Grand Prix. I expect to finish that some time this week. I’ve got a pretty good feeling about this race, I must say. It was rather hard to get going on the Monaco race, since it was the first fictional race that I had to write. The result’s become quite good, I reckon. So Spain, I expect, will come to me a bit easier.

Finished the Monaco chapter

Monaco flagI’ve just finished the Monaco chapter. I reviewed the parts I had written late August, and added some post-race information, mostly about Wendlinger’s situation.

Next week I’ll spend researching the Spanish Grand Prix. This was the first race where the FIA’s changes to cars and circuits were introduced, so I’ll write about that. Plus I’ll have to come up with the story of the race weekend, and decide who’ll take victory here.

Monaco GP chapter all but finished

I have written the race part of the Monaco Grand Prix chapter for my Senna versus Schumacher story. The chapter is now all but finished, with just the aftermath of the race needing work. I want to incorporate thingslike Pedro Lamy’s testing accident and reactions to the FIA’s rule changes into that. When that’s done, I’ll re-read the chapter and make any changes necessary. Then, next up is Spain.
