My book mentioned on F1Fanatic.co.uk

Certainly to my amazement, but very much to my pride and enjoyment, The Encounter Down Under was mentioned, today, on the acclaimed blog F1Fanatic.co.uk. So my thanks goes out to Keith Collantine, and I welcome all readers who see my Senna versus Schumacher story for the first time.

Sadly, though, I won’t be writing very much in the coming weeks, because my wife and I expect our first child this week. So I hope I’ll be excused.

Research for Pacific GP and San Marino

Last Tuesday and today I spent researching the Pacific and San Marino Grands Prix for my Ayrton Senna what-if story. I used Wikipedia, Forix, and GrandPrix.com’s encyclopedia. Plus I found a new source for drivers’ quotes, albeit through Forix: Motorsport.com.

I’m currently working on the second chapter of part I, the Brazilian GP at Interlagos, while the Pacific GP and the San Marino race at Imola, are chapters 2 and 3 respectively. I expect those chapters to be finished somewhere in March.

Research on season preview

I’ve been researching the outlook on the 1994 Formula One season. Not only did I read all there is to read on Wikipedia, GrandPrix.com and Forix, but I bought the official FIA review video for reference as well.

After some tough Googling, I also found two websites with period news. I’m not sure where the news items are from, though, but I’d guess they’re from Autosport magazine.

So, I’ve started writing the first chapter of the first part of my book: about the teams entered for the new season, which drivers would represent them, and the Grand Prix calendar.

I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
