Yesterday, I started research on the next chapter of my Senna versus Schumacher story: the Canadian Grand Prix. I’v gathered race reports, driver quotes, practice and qualifying results et cetera. I plan on watching the race review either this weekend or next Tuesday, when I have my bi-weekly day off, either on YouTube or on my VCR.

Since I’ve finished research on the Spanish Grand Prix — all I have to do is re-watch the video a couple of times — I expect to start writing the next chapter of part II, tomorrow. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.
I’ve just finished the Monaco chapter. I reviewed the parts I had written late August, and added some post-race information, mostly about Wendlinger’s situation.
Next week I’ll spend researching the Spanish Grand Prix. This was the first race where the FIA’s changes to cars and circuits were introduced, so I’ll write about that. Plus I’ll have to come up with the story of the race weekend, and decide who’ll take victory here.
I’ll keep you posted. In the mean time, feel free to drop me a line.
With the 2nd chapter now finished, I’ll start work on the next race, the Pacific Grand Prix, this week. This race sees the Grand Prix circus on a new track, the TI Circuit in Aida, Japan. Senna and Schumacher renew their rivalry for the 1994 F1 title.
I did the research necessary for this chapter earlier this month, together with the San Marino GP, so I reckon I’ll finish this 3rd chapter of The Encounter Down Under some time next week. I’ll keep you posted.
As you might have guessed, there has been little activity this week. I haven’t been feeling very well, yesterday and today, and hence haven’t worked on my Senna versus Schumacher story the past few days.
I have, however, planned a couple of hours’ work for next Saturday, and I would like to finish the third chapter, on the 1994 Brazilian Grand Prix.
In the mean time I did plough through some motor racing and alternate history forums. It seems that there aren’t a lot of stories similar my alternate version of the 1994 Formula One season. I’m planning to post on these forums and stir up some attention for the site and the book.
